Stephen was a strong supporter of pageantry and scholarship programs across the country and the mission to empower young women through fashion with his impeccable designs in evening wear, stage wear and interview wear. Stephen also had a passion for playing the piano and the accordion and was a strong supporter of the performing arts. Criteria for awards and scholarships will be set forth in the near future by a committee with the Yearick family and Stephen's close friends involved. ​
